Dear Mom and Dad,

Sorry about the paper, but these problem sheets in coding was all I had at the time.  I'm supposed to be watching for the enemy patrol, but I'm on a hill top and they couldn't possibly sneak up on me so I'm writing this letter.


Hope everyone is fine and the hot weather isn't bothering you too much. I'll be gone and out of communications for the next 2 weeks, so don't send any food during this time.

Tell Linda the ugly little thing had better write some even if its only an alphabet of 10 z's and 12 y's or something. Anything in letter form at mail call helps as long as it's from home.
