Some of the later photos are from when he was re-assigned to D Company, 1st of
the 14th.

He was in my first command, 1st Platoon, Bravo Company, 1st of the 8th,
4th Inf Div.
His confirmation of many of the stories I have told about my beginnings as a raw
2nd Lt. are reassuring.
After over 40 years, I wasn't sure that my memories, dimmed by the fog of war,
were reality or not.
Great to hear from one of the soldiers who stomped the same ground.
