Dear Mom and Dad,

I'm sorry I haven't written for so long, but we have been out in the field for the past 20 or so days and I haven't had any way to get a letter out.

I'm just fine and if I get to go on R&R I'll write more then. I don't believe I'll be going back to the field after I leave for R&R.

I will close now and try to get this letter out on our resupply bird.
