24 Apr 1969Dear Mom and Dad,
I'm in An Khe again. I have to go to the field for a few days to get some papers signed by Capt. DeRoos
I will have to come back then to pick up the payroll. After pay day I will be staying out in
the field most of the time to give Capt. DeRoos a hand and get used to running the Company. We are
set up on a patrol base on the only hill within 12 clicks, sending out patrols and ambushes. Not much
work, but a real chore trying to keep up with all the patrols and their locations.
I am trying to get my 30 day leave set for the middle of June to the middle of July. I'm still not sure
about the R&R to Australia.
I have to check the area now, so I'll just stop here.
