25 DEC 1969Dear Mom and Dad,
Well today is Christmas and all things considered, it's a right nice one. We are
still here in An Khe; my Company is now sending out nine ambushes a night to protect Camp Radcliff. It
sure means a lot of work for me and for my RTO's, but it's nice to be here. The men sure did enjoy
Christmas dinner in Camp.
I am going on R&R again on the 25th of January till the 1st of February. I'll be going back to Australia,
since they speak English and I can relax better there.
I hope you got the car situation taken care of for now. I'll check it out when I get back. I hope you got
the VW running again.
